Owners - different pricing between two bookings for the same date

A reservation was made 6 months ago, then cancelled by the traveler. A new reservation for the same dates was made 2 weeks before the arrival date at a lower price. Why?

This price variation is due to a price adjustment as the arrival date approaches. So-called "last-minute" bookings will not have the same rates as those made well in advance. We adjust prices as we go along to optimize the rental of your property, because it's better to rent at a slightly lower price than not to rent at all.
